Host Family Day Respite Services
The Host Family Day Care service provides a host home worker who is paid, trained and supported and offers their own home (after appropriate risk assessment) as a respite venue for a group of 3 to 4 care recipients for 6 hours respite each day up to three days a week. An emphasis is placed on culturally and specific host home environments to encourage greater access to respite services by groups that may be reluctant to access other types of respite services.
