Host Homes Program - Family Based Care

The Host Homes Program is a day respite program funded by National Respite for Carers Program to enhance the lives of clients with early stage dementia or short term memory loss. Six hours of respite for carers is provided on an ongoing basis one day per week.The program caters for up to 4 clients and operates in a secure family environment once a week. Host homes are held in Prospect, Scottsdale and Invermay. Referrals from family, GPs, Community Nurses or self.

Clients who have been diagnosed with dementia can be referred by family, GPs and other health professionals. Transport is available to and from the Centre.
