The Hunter Brian Injury Service (HBIS) provides rehabilitation for adults (16-65 yr) who have an acquired brain injury. priority is given to those indviduals who have sustained a traumatic brain injury. The HBIS is based in Newcastle and also operates an office in Taree and covers the central Coast, Hunter and Taree areas. It consists of three service streamsTransitional living Unit, Outpatient service and an Outreach service.Priorty 1 traumatic and 2nd acquired. Must have personal care with support of one staff member only. If in wheelchair must be able to transfer with one staff member only. Emphasis on rehabilitation and vocation.

I had a very tough year the last few months I had to watch my mother slowly die from breast cancer, been struggling since mums passing before I turned 50. My family doesn't talk to me after mother passed been a lot of other things on my mind in regards to my immediate family.
