Hurstville City Council - Community Worker for Multicultural and Indigenous Services
To provide opportunities for members of the ATSI(Aboriginal and Torre Straite Islanders) and the various CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) communities to contribute to the development of programs, services and policies that are responsive to their needs and contribute to the social planning and policy direction and decisions made by Council. To foster co-operative relationships and build partnerships between ATSI communities, CALD communities and Council and the broader Hurstville community. To improve access to Council services and community services in general by local ATSI and CALD communities. To establish effective community development processes to assist the ATSI and CALD communities to identify unmet needs and to develop strategies to meet those needs.
