ACAT provides information on suitable care options and can help arrange access or referral to appropriate residential or community care services including the Occupational Therapist assessor. Self referral or referral from other services. This assessment is required for entry into aged care facilities and access to community care packages. There is a Multi-Cultural Aged Care Consultant on staff. Assessments are valid for one year across Australia, and takes up to 2 hours in the clients home.
