Contact service once you have a diagnosis from G.P. This service provides: Individual Education sessions to manage blood sugar levels, medications and diet. Dietitian - assistance with diet and runs cooking classes; Podiatrist - for people who have ulcerations; Paediatric Endocrinologist - available for four consultations a year (Medicare charges apply); Group education on managing diabetes. Outreach to Nowra CHC. After initial consultation at Wollongong clinic you may be referred to one of the following clinics: Shellharbour clinic at Shellharbour Hospital (Tues 1 pm - 4 pm; Thurs 9 am - 12 noon). Port Kembla clinic at Port Kembla Hospital (every 2nd Tues 1 pm - 4 pm). Bulli clinic at Bulli hospital (Tues 9 am - 12 noon). Kiama clinic at Kiama Hospital - Held once a month. Appointments are necessary. Buildings are accessible for people in wheelchairs. Registered nurses are available to assist with medication.
