Isolated Patients Travel and Accommodation Assistance Scheme (IPTAAS) - GWAHS
Provides information on financial assistance and entitlements available to rural and remote patients needing to travel for health services. Accommodation Subsidy: - $33 per night-Patient - $46 per night-Patient and Escort Travel Subsidy: - Car (15c per km) - Bus and Train (Fare paid, but not GST) - If GP states need to fly, GP must phone IPTAAS Office for prior approval. Fees: - Contribution $20 HC Card Holders-$40 non HC Card Holders.
