Kiama Neighbour Aid
Provides assistance by a companion (paid worker or volunteer), either within the home or while accessing community services. The service is primarily directed towards meeting the person's needfor social contact and/or accompaniment in order to participate in community life. Social support includes friendly visiting. Services may include social visits, shopping support and transportation to appointments where social is the main need. A social Bus Trip operates twice a month. The Social Bus Trip provides a day trip to a local outing with lunch. Social Bus Trips are supported by a number of volunteers. $25 is asked for the Social Bus Trip.

Hello, I am a mum of two small children aged 1 and 3. I have been thinking of the value of community and would love to reach out to the older generation who may be missing their family or not have any. I'm not sure how to go about it. I'd love to take some time to visit or meet with a group of friendly people . I think it might bring some joy to some and my children will have the benefit of getting to know a different generation.
