Kidzlink Program - Newcastle Temporary Care Ltd
Kidzlink is a project auspice by Newcastle Temporary Care and funded by DADHC. Children and teenagers with a moderate to severe disability who are attending school are the target group of this service. With all programs, support workers attend to supervise and lead activities. Kidzlink has three programs: TEEN SCENE - for children attending high school is a social activities programme which operates monthly activities during school term. During school holidays a calendar of activities is organised from which participants make their choices. A camp of 3-4 days is held annually. SATURDAY PROGRAMS - for primary school aged children. There are Girls Groups, Boys Groups and Wheelies Groups. All programs provide a day of fun activities and/or outings, on one Saturday per month. AFTER SCHOOL AND HOLIDAY CARE - for children with a disability who have difficulty accessing mainstream services. Holiday care is provided 3 days per week during school holidays.

Hello
My mum suffered a stroke in July and is currently in Woy Woy rehab centre. They’re hoping she’ll be home in 5/6 weeks. My dad is looking for someone to come in the mornings and evenings to help with mum. We are looking at between 4-6 hours per day. We’ll know more in 5/6 weeks as to the role itself but it’s standby assistance.
