Kwobarup Aboriginal Program This service is aimed specifically at our Aboriginal Community. The Kwobarup program offers a range of services to fail, aged and disabled Aboriginal people. Services include: Centre Based Respite Home Help Home Maintenance Transport At our Day Centre we run a cultural art program, activities and outings in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. This is also a good point to contact for more resource information about other Aboriginal specific services provided in the community. Fees for this service will be determined at the time of assessment. Please contact the main office number and ask to speak Service Coordinator or the Community Health Worker. The Centre-based respite/ daycare centre has varied activities from art , recreational pursuits, social and outings. Transport to and from the centre is provided plus a meal.This is a HACC service.

A Home and Community Care programme for the physically disabled and frail aged, including those from culturally diverse backgrounds . Runs a programme for Italian clients on Wed. Also now running Leschenault Day Respite Centre on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. (See added location) Transport available. Youth programme for 16yrs to 25 yr old's with disabilities, (low level support needs), 1st and 3rd Saturday and 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month, based at South West Hwy. Men's group 2nd and 4th Friday of the month, includes outings and centre based activities. 6 week Wellness programmes run on Wednesdays, full day programme including guest speakers and morning tea. Take out meals available to clients, fees apply.

Hello ,
I'm in a really bad situation atm . I recently had to move because my dad who I was caring for 10 years had to go into aged care .
I had nowhere to go with my dog and luckily someone I barely know let me rent a room off him in Powelltown, Vic .
I don't drive and it's an 18km walk just to get to a bus stop that is still Ages away from most things .
My centerlink has been cut off because I couldnt attend a job provider appointment due to it being so far and I haven't had any food for 5 days now.
There is a local food relief place that gives Me a few fresh vegetables every Friday but they didn't come today and it's only a few fruit and veg which is not very nourishing on an empty stomach . They only come on Fridays when they can .
