Melville Cares aims provides home care and support services to enable frail aged and younger people with disabilities and their carers to remain living independently and participating in the community. Melville cares provides support services to five distinct groups in the community - frail aged, people with special needs , full andpart -time cares , people with disabilities and war veterans. They provide HACC assessment , CSIA , centre-based daycare, domestic assistance , home maintenance(garden), personal care, respite(in home) , social support and transport. They Also provide Veterans Homecare. As part of their HACC program Melville Cares runs a respite and recreation program for people with special needs which targets the younger disabled groups. They also are a SP for the Aged Care Community Visitors Scheme where volunteers visit residences of hostels and nursing homes and offer friendship and relieve social isolation.
