Mudgee Home Modification and Maintenance Service
The aim of the Home Modification and Maintenance Service is to assist the frail aged and people with disabilities and their carers to remain in their own homes. This service specialises in home modifications, maintenance, adjustments and advice on building related matters. Examples of modification or maintenance work that can be carried out include: installing internal/external ramps and rails, installing tap turners, installing hand held showers, minor plumbing and electrical work, removing shower hobs, removing bath tubs, and installing grabrails. Clients are asked to pay for the cost of the materials and a portion of the hourly labour rate. Assistance may be available if you cannot afford your share of the cost.

Services available include: access modification, ramps, rails, widening of doorways, Bathroom modifications, and minor home maintenance. An Occupational Therapist assessment is required to determine neccessary modifications. <p> Yard maintenance will be provided if the safety of the resident is at risk, however ongoing lawn mowing is unavailable.
