National Aged Care Advocacy Program - NSW
Advocacy is the process of standing alongside an individual who is disadvantaged and speaking out on their behalf in a way that represents the best interests of that person. Under the National Aged Care Advocacy Program, The Aged Care Rights Service (TARS) provides advocacy for older people in NSW who live in a nursing home or hostel, receive a Community Aged Care Package (CACP),have been assessed by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT), used to receive aged care services or are representing the interests of the person receiving aged care services.
