Oncology Counsellor
The Oncology Counsellor provides support and counselling for people with cancer, their partners, carers and families. The Oncology Counsellor can assist with emotional, social and practical issues such as: adjusting to the diagnosis of cancer; family stress; talking to children about cancer; relationship issues; anxiety; depression; information about other support services; grief and loss. The service is available to cancer patients and their families in Dubbo and the surrounding region, including those whose treatment was provided at another hospital. Home visits can be arranged.
