Program of Appliances for Disabled People (PADP) - Hornsby
PADP provides a wide range of equipment to adults and children. Equipment includes: shower supports, wheelchairs, continence aids, beds, commodes, cushions, hoists, prosthetic aids, orthotic aids. Generally application is accepted, however equipment is available according to need and financial situation. Holders of the pension and/or healthcare card are a priority. Anyone on a salary will be considered for high cost items, but a copy of their last years tax return will be requested. The PADP coordinator will assess the application, which may be further considered by the local PADP Advisory Committee. The PADP coordinator will also advise people about equipment pools operated by local hospitals and other organisations. NB: ALL RESPIRATORY AIDS: this program has different criteria (eg: certain blood gas levels, financial criteria etc.) and a referral would need to be from a respiratory specialist.

Hi my name is Trent. I have been unemployed since February 10th, I have applied for jobseeker but my claim was rejected and now is being reassessed by the complex review team. I am in need of some food and personal items as I have fully out welcomed my friends and family for support. I have a rental bill through my Aunty but they are not chasing me down for it. If anyone could help me I will be much appreciated. This is the first time I have ever had to ask for help and it’s a hard thing to do.
