AnglicareWA administers Emergency Relief(ER) at metropolitan and regional locations. Anglicare works collaboratively with local parishes and communities to provide ER. AnglicareWA ER Services provide short-term financial and/or material assistance to individuals and families in crisis. AnglicareWA also provides support , advocacy and referral to other services to assist people to alleviate their immediate financial crisis. ER assistance can be provided in the form of:- Food vouchers,non-perishable food and hampers at Christmas time;- Part-payment of one utility account per year; -Telstra accounts(landlines only); - medical/dental/optical accts.; rent/accommodation ;smart-riders/phonecards; - material assistance such as blankets and clothing, and; - Info and referral to other services such as debt negotiation and advocacy services. I recently had a 5 day holiday for a family get together, and I had a friend from Sydney stay in my unit to look after my cat as I could not take here with us. Sadly, one of our neighbor's put a note on her car window, that she was not allowed to park the car there, and that she had been reported to Department of Housing. the spot she parked in is a spare spot, and not parking has been officially allocated to tenants. I spoke to dept of housing about this, and was told it was quite ok for me to have a visitor stay, and for them to use that car space and that they would notify all the tenants of this. But to date nothing has happened, and I have another trip away coming up soon, and really don't want this to happen again. Any advice would be appreciated.
