Self-Help Hard of Hearing Canterbury Hearing Information and Resource Centre

SHHH publish a quarterly journal dealing with aspects of hearing loss. The journal also acts as a forum for debate on issues about hearing loss and serves as an advocate for hearing impaired people. SHHH operates two Hearing Information Centres providing information on services and support organisations, demonstrations of assisting listening devices for TV and radio, telephone equipment, alarms and other communication aids. Services are free and no appointments are necessary. SHHH serves on a number of committees to represent hearing impaired people. SHHH Groups give hearing impaired people and their families the opportunity to meet others in similar situations.
