SNAP involves active seniors in attending to minor modifications to the homes of the over 60's in the Illawarra. Includes a free home safety consultation, modifications to floors eg anti-slip strips across stairs, non slip surfacing to floors, smoke alarms, night lights, adjusting heights of chairs. Service is provided by the Lions Club. Application must be made in writing.

Services available include: access modification, ramps, rails, widening of doorways, Bathroom modifications, and minor home maintenance. An Occupational Therapist assessment is required to determine neccessary modifications. <p> Yard maintenance will be provided if the safety of the resident is at risk, however ongoing lawn mowing is unavailable.

I hope everyone is doing well. I was just wondering what the process is for applying for emergency food vouchers?
I am currently in between jobs, and my savings and centrelink are allocated to rent and medical expenses.
As of June, I'll be starting my new job but until then, I'm not sure how easy it will be to afford groceries.
