Seniors Assistance Fund
The SAF is funded by City of Melville and managed by Care Options for all senior residents in the Melville area. It is an open-ended , short-term program for elderly residents in the Melville area who have exhausted all the usual services available like HACC and are now eligible for the SAF. The Seniors Assistance Fund provides assistance to seniors in the areas of respite, gardening, home maintenance, transport, and the purchase of equipment such as shower chairs, rails, and ramps.Whatever service is needed this SAF will attempt to provide it.

AnglicareWA administers Emergency Relief(ER) at metropolitan and regional locations. Anglicare works collaboratively with local parishes and communities to provide ER. AnglicareWA ER Services provide short-term financial and/or material assistance to individuals and families in crisis. AnglicareWA also provides support , advocacy and referral to other services to assist people to alleviate their immediate financial crisis. ER assistance can be provided in the form of:- Food vouchers,non-perishable food and hampers at Christmas time;- Part-payment of one utility account per year; -Telstra accounts(landlines only); - medical/dental/optical accts.; rent/accommodation ;smart-riders/phonecards; - material assistance such as blankets and clothing, and; - Info and referral to other services such as debt negotiation and advocacy services. Hi I need some help for basic needs as I have nothing until I start and paid with new part time job - which I presume will be within 2-4 weeks. My housemates are helping with rent but that is all help that I've got. I've also lost contact for help from families and friends. My evidence documents were not enough to receive support from Vinnies and other organisation.
