Laverton is located 120 kilometres east of Leonora and about 400 km north of Kalgoorlie. Established as a gold mining town more than a century ago, the remote town has seen ebbs and flows with each new discovery. A Youth Centre is available O.O.S.S. and depending on staff is also operational on the week end. Pool season is October - April. There is a Library , Telecentre and Tourist Centre and Sports Facilities.
