South East Neighbourhood Centre - Food Distribution Network (FDN)
FDN provides a once fortnightly delivery of fruit and vegetables to the homes of people who need help doing shopping due to their health or mobility restrictions. FDN is not a shopping service but works as a co-operative. People pay in advance for their next order and the FDN pools the money together to shop at the produce markets. Basic items are purchased and then the remainder of the money is spent on a variety of food that is of good value on the day. The produce is evenly divided into boxes by volunteers and then delivered to the clients' homes. $10.00 a box. Contact the Administrator on Wednesdays 02 8338 8506.
