Volunteer service provides friendly support to the lonely, elderly, frail and disabled. Meets the social, recreational and conversational needs of their clients by having a Buddy System. All volunteers have a police clearance. The St John's Ambulance Service runs an emergency 24 hrs per day service. Provides First Aid Kit servicing , gives talks on basic life support and training. They also have craft sessions to knit for World Vision and Wheelchairs for overseas charities. The outings vary from movies to o/n stays at other towns to shopping expeditions at Ikea . Membership is $10pa.
