Volunteer service provides friendly support to the lonely, elderly, frail and disabled. Meets the social, recreational and conversational needs of their clients by having a Buddy System. All volunteers have a police clearance. The St John's Ambulance Service runs an emergency 24 hrs per day service. Provides First Aid Kit servicing , gives talks on basic life support and training. Pensioners Social Club meets every 2nd Monday. Club meetings held 3rd Monday of month. Outings arranged for 2nd Monday of month. They also have craft sessions to knit for World Vision and Wheelchairs for overseas charities. The outings vary from movies to o/n stays at other towns to shopping expeditions at Ikea . Membership is $10pa.
