State Library of Tasmania - State Reference Library
Aims to provide a comprehensive reference and information service to the Tasmanian community, and to undertake the collection, preservation and provision of access to Tasmania's documentary heritage. Internet and email access are available, and there is a study area and magazine browsing area. The collection consists of over 200,000 books, local and international newspapers, maps, electronic resources, magazines, journals and newsletters. The Reference Library also holds family history resources and many government publications, including Tasmanian and Commonwealth legislation, parliamentary papers and gazettes.
