Sylvanvale Foundation
Sylvanvale Foundation provides accommodation services that allow people with disabilities to live as independently as possible, broaden their horizons, while cultivating lifelong friendships. We believe experience counts and like to provide opportunities to learn and develop new skills in a safe and secure environment. Every resident assists in preparing meals, shopping, cleaning and tending to the gardens. Each resident has their own room that can be furnished and decorated to their own taste. We also offer a wide variety of in-house programs including computer skills, budgeting, catching transport, pursuing recreational and social interests. Our trained staff support residents in all areas and help foster confidence and expand life experiences. Houses are comfortable, well-maintained, well resourced, offer specialist equipment and most are located close to transport and local services. There are a variety of home situations available including group homes, community living, specialist accommodation and respite. Hello
My mum suffered a stroke in July and is currently in Woy Woy rehab centre. They’re hoping she’ll be home in 5/6 weeks. My dad is looking for someone to come in the mornings and evenings to help with mum. We are looking at between 4-6 hours per day. We’ll know more in 5/6 weeks as to the role itself but it’s standby assistance.
