VAN staff can assist eligible persons including veterans, serving and former Defence Force members, war widow's and widowers, certain Australian Federal Police Personnel with overseas service and their dependants with: - appropriate income support and compensation in recognition of the effects of the war - access to health and other care services that promote and maintain self sufficiency, well being and quality of life - holistic information on DVA services and entitlements - facilitation of activities / services, which address the phyiscal, financial, social and emotional aspects of independence and well being - facilitation of access to DVA funding by Ex-Service and community organisations applying for grant funding.
