The Home Club
The Home Club is a day centre that offers a respite program to the carers of people with Dementia in the community of Dubbo. The Home Club aims to provide meaningful stimulation to the clients and assist in maintaining community involvement. A diverse activity program is conducted which is designed to meet individual needs. Group activities include: music and garden therapy, bingo, art, craft, and card games to name a few. There is an attendance fee, which provides each client with: morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, craft supplies, activities, and game prizes. Day outings will incur an extra charge depending on the destination and activity involved. These outing may take clients out to lunch, scenic tours and mystery tours or to a function at another venue. Volunteers come to the centre to provide entertainment like singing, dancing and poetry.
