The Leukaemia Foundation
The Leukaemia Foundation provides support for patients with leukaemia and other related blood disorders. A telephone information and counselling service is available Mon-Fri 9-5pm. Practical assistance is available on an individual needs basis and is assessed by working in consultation with your doctor and health professionals. Transport services are available with several courtesy vehicles operating throughout NSW to take patients to and from hospitals. Free temporary accommodation is available for those travelling to treatment close to major treatment centres in NSW and ACT. Other forms of accommodation assistance can be organised for families who have to relocate from rural and regional areas.
