The Margaret Harris Day Centre
Silver Chain's day centres are provided to promote healthy ageing within our community. They deliver support to prevent social isolation and enable you to interact with others in a comfortable setting. Each day centre makes available a wide variety of services and activities ranging from craft and woodwork to slide shows and presentations from guest speakers. Day centre activities also include day trips. The Margaret Harris Day Centre is a HACC service . Meals are provided for a cost of $6. A bus provides transport to and from the centre and has a hoist for wheelchairs.The Day Centre operates Mon-Thurs from 9am to 2.30pm .Fridays are for outings only and incurs an extra cost- $25. Mondays and Wednesdays are specifically for dementia clients. Recreational activities at the centre include gentle exercise regimes , various games like cards , mini golf and scrabble; arts and crafts plus there are social outings to picnics , concerts etc.

Morrissey Homestead Day Respite Centre.

A Home and Community Care programme for the physically disabled and frail aged, including those from culturally diverse backgrounds . Runs a programme for Italian clients on Wed. Also now running Leschenault Day Respite Centre on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. (See added location) Transport available. Youth programme for 16yrs to 25 yr old's with disabilities, (low level support needs), 1st and 3rd Saturday and 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month, based at South West Hwy. Men's group 2nd and 4th Friday of the month, includes outings and centre based activities. 6 week Wellness programmes run on Wednesdays, full day programme including guest speakers and morning tea. Take out meals available to clients, fees apply.

hi may I please be considered for any food help, I have nearly run out of and do not get paid till wednsday, i have 2 school aged kids and a 3 yr old, If it was just me on my own i wouldn't be asking. please and thank you.
