The Meeting Place Community Centre is located in South Fremantle and provides: Community Education Community Support Working With The community The meeting place is situated in a renovated heritage building on the cnr of South St and Jenkin St in Sth freo. An initiative of the City of Fremantle , the centre provides adult education programs, is a recruitments centre for volunteers for not-for-profit agencies and provides an avenue for various community groups to meet,e.g., playgroups. Adult education programs are delivered from this centre to other venues in the area.These programs are not just higher learning but also interest- and lifestyle-based. Membership to the Meeting Place is encouraged -$25 for Individuals and Families $45- and members then enjoy cheaper courses , a newsletter and special members-only courses.
