Thinking Well Depression Support Group

Sessions include exploring coping skills, information sessions and guest speakers. Meetings are held fortnightly on a Tuesday at the Emmanuel Centre. Phone for dates. Group also has access to the ARAFMI library of books, tapes and videos for loan to members for a small membership fee. All information shared during the sessions is and remains confidential.

MATES is a programme that the Australian Red Cross has been running since 1997. It involves trained volunteers becoming friends with people who have a diagnosed mental illness. The programme is free of charge although some activities may incur a small fee. Regular meetings are held between the mates, volunteers and the coordinator.
