Heating Allowance Assistance Scheme

Heating Allowance is a payment of $56 per year, $28 being paid in May and $28 in September. It is limited to one payment per household. All enquiries to call free number in Hobart. Target Group :- Aged, Carer, Sole, Disability, Widows Pension and Service Pensioners only. Cash Asset Test. Singles no more than $1750. Married/Defacto no more than $2750(Bank Investments, Stocks etc.) Singles cannot earn more than $10 per week and Married cannot earn $20 per week in excess of the Pension. Heating allowance application forms can be obtained from any Housing Service Centre, Service Tasmania, the web site or by calling 1800 300 068.

Hi my name is Trent. I have been unemployed since February 10th, I have applied for jobseeker but my claim was rejected and now is being reassessed by the complex review team. I have been a bit lost for 8 months. My family broke apart after my wife attacked me with scissors and destroyed all my belongings and cut up all my clothes. my wife then took my kids away (who were in my care) and threatened to take them to China. Blocked all contact I've not known where they were till last month and I've been left couch surfing and living off the good graces of a few friends.
