Across Victoria community health centres provide a range of community-based services including general medical and allied health services for your child and family. Community health centres vary in the services they provide. Information and advice on your own or your family's health and well being are available. Many centres are staffed by community health nurses, general practitioners, physiotherapists, podiatrists and social workers and other specialists attend regularly. For your child, some centres offer services such as visiting pediatricians, speech pathologists, occupational therapists and psychologists. Any one can attend, although some centres may give preference to people on low incomes or holders of Health Care cards. Fees and charges vary from centre to centre and depend upon the service required.
