Maternal and Child Health Services assist mothers and fathers to develop their parenting skills and increase understanding of child behaviour, providing professional advice on the general health whilst monitoring the growth and development of children from birth to school age. Services may include infant health screening, feeding advice, parenting groups, parent and child play groups, new mothers' groups, immunisation programs and referrals where appropriate.
