Westcoast Community Centre

The Westcoast Community Learning Centre was established in 1993 with a seed grant for equipment from the combined councils of Cottesloe, Mosman Park, Peppermint Grove and Claremont. Incorporated as Wearne Community Centre in 1994, the name was changed to Westcoast Community Centre in 2001 to overcome confusion with Wearne Hostel. Wearne and Riversea Hostel residents are honorary members of the Centre. The objective of Westcoast Community Centre is to create a congenial meeting place for members of the community to increase their knowledge and skills through a variety of courses, talks and visits to places of interest.
