Westside Community Services - My Life

"My Life" is an independent living skills program for people with an intellectual andor psychiatric disability. The program is targeted at people with an intellectual and/or psychiatric disability who are living at home with parents or carers. Participants need to be 18 years or over, mobile, capable of self-care and able to communicate in a group setting. My Life is about people finding their feet and gaining a range of practical life skills including housekeeping and cleaning, personal care, meal planning and preparation, shopping and food storage, budgeting, community linking, social and relationship skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills and conflict resolution. The program is funded by Disability Services QLD to deliver 13 week programs to groups of particpants. Fees may apply depending on individual circumstances. Also offered on a fee for service basis is one-on-one training.

My family doesn't talk to me after mother passed been a lot of other things on my mind in regards to my immediate family.
