Illawarra Asthma Service provides services to people with Asthma and their carers throughout the Illawarra and Shoalhaven. It is staffed by Asthma Educators in the community and a specialist respiratory team at Wollongong hospital. Support, follow up and referral service: Asthma education and assessment. Assistance with device technique, peak flow, symptom monitoring. Self monitoring/self management education and action plans. Spirometry, resource kits, quit smoking programs. Interpreter assistance is available during sessions. Buildings are accessible for people with disabilities. Service can be accessed at Wollongong Hospital - Level 1, Block C; Illawarra Child Development Centre, Porter St, Wollongong; Kiama Hospital/ Community Health Centre, Bonaira St Kiama; Nowra Community Health Centre. I recently had a 5 day holiday for a family get together, and I had a friend from Sydney stay in my unit to look after my cat as I could not take here with us. Sadly, one of our neighbor's put a note on her car window, that she was not allowed to park the car there, and that she had been reported to Department of Housing. the spot she parked in is a spare spot, and not parking has been officially allocated to tenants. I spoke to dept of housing about this, and was told it was quite ok for me to have a visitor stay, and for them to use that car space and that they would notify all the tenants of this. But to date nothing has happened, and I have another trip away coming up soon, and really don't want this to happen again. Any advice would be appreciated.
