Yarran Early Intervention Services- Toy Library
The Toy Library is a centre and mobile outreach service; its specific focus is to provide educational toys to families who have a child with a disability. The library is staffed by a part time library assistant who will assist with in the selection of appropriate toys and learning equipment, using information provided by parents and professionals. The aim is to foster an understanding of the benefits of play and recreation through access to a variety of toys and equipment. The collection contains over 5000 items. Up to five toys can be borrowed at one time, for a period of one month unless otherwise negotiated. They also have resources for parenting. Siblings can also access toys and home deliveries can be organised for isolated families. Unpaid regular carers of the children can also borrow toys & resources.
