Young Workers Advisory Service
Contact the young workers advisory service to determine what your rights at work are. YWAS provides young people (under 25 yrs old) with free and confidential information, advice and advocacy on all employment issues including employment conditions and entitlements, work contracts, discrimination, unfair dismissal, workplace bullying, apprenticeships and traineeships and sexual harassment. YWAS also provides advocacy for young people with claims for the QLD Industrial Relations Commission, QLD Anti-Discrimination Commission, the Australian Industrial Relations Commission and the Human Rights and Equal Opportunities Commission if this becomes necessary. Can refer to other services for older clients.
