Hillcrest Day Therapy Centre
Hillcrest Day Therapy Centre is a Day centre ( open on Wednesday only) that helps people with a range of conditions such as joint disease, multiple sclerosis, head injuries, stroke and spinal injuries. The aim is to improve and maintain the well-being of clients to lead independent lives. Services such as physiotherapy, podiatry and occupational therapy are provided . The centre also provides a mix of activities including table, games, arts and crafts, exercises and entertainment and socialisation plus pro-active courses like Tai Chi and Osteopathic prevention and wellness classes. A meal is provided for a small fee. Transport to and from the centre can be arranged. The centre is attached to the Hillcrest ACF but is funded by the C/wealth Govt to provide therapy-based activities for the aged community in the area.Clients may be referred by GPs. A small fee is charged for services , $6 for physio and podiatrist; $4 for group activity $5 for meal

Murdoch Community Hospice is a facility catering for all the community including public and private patients. Facilities include 20 spacious rooms with en-suites, family dining and sitting rooms, an overnight room, chapel/prayer room and easy access to outdoor areas and a Support and Therapy Centre. A 5 minute walk through the lovely gardens to the coffee shop, florist, and gift shop situated in St John of God Health Care Murdoch. Visitors hours are very flexible, especially for families. Formerly known as the Murdoch Community Hospice, the facilty provides provides specialised palliative care to patients facing an active progressive life threatening illness, and support for carers. There are social workers , pastoral care services that offer advice, counselling and support for both the patients and their families.There is also various support and therapy activities for patients.
