Veterans' Home Care Program - NSW
Provides home care services to Australian veterans and war widows to enable them to live independently in the community. Services include: personal care (1 and a half hrs per week) and domestic assistance (1 and half hours per fortnight), home and garden maintenance for safety in the home and garden (15 hours per annum, no lawn mowing or weeding), and respite care (in-home and residential respite up to 196 hours or 28 days per financial year). When calling the assessment line (even if leaving a message), veterans are asked to provide their DVA number and to identify the service that they require. To complain about a DVA service DVA recommends you first complain to the contracted service provider, then call DVA on 133 254 or 1800 555 254 (country callers) if further action is needed. Please note that not all white card holders are eligible for all services. Check white card status with veterans.

Chelsea
I'm on a full Aged Pension, and my health is good. I currently rent a unit in Chelsea, Vic (1695 per month). I have limited funds at my disposal. My biggest asset is my 5-year old car. I need to know if there is any possibility of retirement living for me.
