The service also aims to prevent early institutional care being necessary and to increase social contact. Volunteers assist clients by lawn mowing, taking them shopping, general social support through interaction and social outings. Transport to medical appointments shopping and social activities is available. Volunteers need to be matched to client requests. Not suitable for people with moderate to severe disabilities.
