In the case of an emergency the client would press a waterproof pendant, which can be worn on the wrist or around the neck, that will activate a unit attached to the telephone and call the monitoring service. The monitoring service will have immediate 2-way voice conversation with the client and will provide the appropriate assistance. There is also an optional fall detector available that is recommended for people who may not be able to press the pendant, e.g. those who suffer from epilepsy or diabetes.
