The aim of the program is to provide people and their primary care givers with options for respite that will enhance their quality of life by providing an opportunity to spend time with a peer. Each eligible person is allocated an entitlement to be used at their discretion (eg. weekly, monthly or one off holiday options). The program is available to people with high support needs aged from 16 to 64 years of age. Users of the service are required to pay a contribution towards the cost of the care. Costs vary but may be as low $2 per hour for some respite.

Provides 7 day/24 hour respite and crisis care in a house setting including personal care, administering medication etc for the disabled, the new born through to the frailed aged. Both a male and female worker.

This program provides flexible respite options for carers aged 60 years and over who care for a person with a disability. Each Respite Package is for a total of 168 hours (equivalent to 1 week of 24/7 which can be used in various combinations. Respite can occur in a combination of settings including own home, host family and peer support respite.
