My Place Foundation Inc. is a non-profit incorporated association established in 2000 to receive and manage direct care services funding allocated to My Place (WA) Pty Ltd for people with disability by the Disability Services Commission. Any unspent funds are used by the Foundation to assist other people with disability using My Place’s services. The Board of My Place Foundation Inc. includes an independent Chair drawn from the community and a consumer representative. My Place Foundation Inc. operates the DSC-funded Shared Co-ordination and Provider Management programs. My Place supports people with varying disabilities including: intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, autism, muscular dystrophy and spinal injury. The 230 people with disability that My Place currently supports range in age from 10 to 72 and live around the Perth metropolitan area, the South West and Albany region. My Place’s services were independently evaluated in 2011 by the Disability Services Commission. My Place was found to be meeting all nine Disability Services Standards – eight at �Best Practice’ level.
