Group meetings offer the emotional support and understanding that comes from the shared trauma of having experienced a stroke and its often catastrophic effects on individuals and subsequently family lives. At each session a highly qualified and experienced speech pathologist provides a stimulating speech and language therapy group program. There are also diversionary therapy activities for those without communication problems, and the session concludes with a gentle exercise program under the supervision of an experienced physiotherapist.

The Aged Care Psychiatry Team specialises in the assessment, management (including rehabilitation), and care of people who are aged 65 years or older, who have an emotional or mental health disorder. The team assists elderly people to live in their own home for as long as possible and offers advice and support to other aged care facilities. The Aged Care Psychiatry Team also refers consumers to other Mental Health Services in the area. Services are provided both in hospital and in the community. Inpatient activities include music therapy and diversional therapy programs. A Community Outreach Program, is also available for Psychiatry for the Elderly (COPE). This service has an intake system and assists with discharges from hospital and in most cases, cares for elderly consumers in their own homes.

More than 400 Pet Partners (trained volunteers and their dogs) visit sick children, frail aged or disabled residents in supported care ie.hosptals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centres and other facilities. Also piloting several intensive Animal Assisted Therapy projects in rehabilitation and psychotherapy. This is a one on one basis with patients to achieve defined goals in rehabilitation or treatment.

Community Linkline allows up to 7 people to be involved in a conference type call with a Coordinator. The call involves general chat games quizzez, guest speakers, craft. Calls are allocated one hour at various times through out office hours, Monday to Friday.
