The Scheme was established to help people cope with the stress of a court appearance. The Community Relations Commission For a Multicultural NSW provides interpreting and translating services in over 75 languages and dialects. Services are available to all Government departments and agencies, private and commercial organisations, community groups and individuals. The Migrant Health Unit assists Hunter Area Health services to ensure that people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds receive appropriate health care information about their health so that they can make informed decisions. The Migrant Health Unit provides an interpreter service, Multicultural health liaison Officer Program, education and advice to Hunter Health staff on Multicultural health issues.
