The Oostomy Association of South Australia (OstomySA) is a charity organisation established in 1962 to support those South Australians living with a stoma (colostomy, ileostomy and urostomy). Today, Ostomy SA assists around 2000 ostomates living in South Australia and the Northern Territory through delivery of the Australian Government’s Stoma Appliance Scheme , provision of monthly Stomal Therapy Nurse Clinics, and general support to members and families. As a not-for-profit organisation, Ostomy SA is funded primarily by member subscriptions and a small Medicare administration fee. We rely heavily on the generous support of donations and volunteer time offered by our supporters to ensure we can continue providing services to members. We also work closely with health professionals, service providers and suppliers to ensure our members receive the very best possible support and products to make their lives easier.
