The Kalparrin Centre is a drop-in Centre for families of children with special needs. It is situated in the grounds of PMH and is a place where families can get information and support related to their child's condition. Kalparrin is a South Australian aboriginal word which means& help carry the load. This also includes parents whose children do not attend PMH. The Centre is open to any family member of a child with a disability or special needs regardless of degree of severity or type of impairment. Staff and volunteers of the Centre understand the issues involved in caring for children with special needs and are always available to share experiences, offer support and provide information.
