The Association maintains Welfare Advisors at State and Branch level and has developed Retirement Estates, Aged Care Services and an Aviation Heritage Museum in Western Australia. Services are available via a series of specially funded programs through Veterans Home Care or by private negotiation by RAAFA through AFA Care .This is a fully-funded service for veterans but is also a private domicilliary service for the general community. We can tailor an individual care plan to meet your specific needs that will enable you or a loved one to remain at home for as long as possible. In this instance an ACAT assessment is not required. Who is eligible: Veterans of Australian defence forces and defence or war widows/widowers of veterans of Australian defence forces who have a Gold or White treatment card are eligible to be assessed for Veterans home care program. Commonwealth and Allied veterans are eligible for respite care related to an accepted disability but are not eligible for other veterans home care services. 'HomeFront' is a program designed to prevent falls and accidents in the home. It offers a free annual home assessment to identify potential falls hazards in and around the house and referral to approved tradespersons to carry out any recommended work.
