Free meal of soup to people who are homeless , on very low income or who are socially marginalised. The soup van goes to park behind Lockyer School every Wednesday from 4.30pm to 5.00pm. Free soup, no eligibility criteria. Ruth holds stalls, selling jams, relishes and chutneys at PCYC fairs with all monies raised from this goes to supply food and running costs for the group. This is a group of non-affiliated , volunteer women who use the kitchen at The Church to prepare the soup to serve that evening.

Lou's Place works closely with other accommodation services to provide a daytime haven for women with children. It provides a range of services to women, from meeting immediate needs for food and clothing, to those promoting personal growth, increasing self esteem, and independence. A range of support services are available for clients, from crisis care to community integration. The service has staff that includes community service workers, psychologists, and a masseuse. Legal and medical services are also available for the women at Lou's Place. Volunteers at the service hold classes for the women, such as writing classes, and computer classes.

The Street Level Internet Cafe offers disadvantaged people affordable meals, Laundry service, showers, free internet access and training in a cafe environment. Street Level is also the home of The Salvation Army's church for homeless and disadvantaged people, where they are invited to attend specifically designed services which are accessible and relevant to their life situation. Dinner is provided for those people attending Friday 6pmnight church service.

The Red Cross FOODCents Program offers support to clients wishing to improve or extend their cooking skills, in particular in cooking healthy, low cost meals. Nurtition and budgetting tips are also covered, to show the client how to spend less food on money. The program is run predominantly within the clients home however can also be run in groups. FOODCents runs for 6 weeks at approximately 2.5hrs per week, with the sessions taken by trained volunteers. The meals cooked each week are chosen by the client Updated September 2008
